Thoughts
To the class,
I know it may be a little public to post this here, but at this point of time, and at such a crucial period, this is one true phrase everyone knows, UNITED WE STAND, DIVIDED WE FALL.
Many teachers aren't pleased with our results, and up till now, the papers we got back got us into much reprimanding, as all of us would know. Every teacher would mention that the stronger ones are dropping, while the weaker ones are not rising to the occasion. Shall not elaborate on this as we had already heard these type of talks given to us by some of our subject teachers already.
Many other classes had actually looked up to our class as the most united class in CSS, and I myself is proud of that. But in the end, being united isn't enough. Unity can forge teamwork, but not bring us good grades if we do not utilise it correctly. My guess is that our class, though united, did not commit this unity to studies, the primary focus of being a student. I'm not sure whether you all agree with me, we had been the second best class in mid year, and now other classes are fast catching up.
Isn't this the time we start sprinting?? SPORTS CLASS PACE??
Let's commit this teamwork to studies for ALL subjects possible. One way or another, for I don't think any of us wanted each other to do poorly in the Os. The prelims are over, the scoldings and oncoming. So What? Let's recover, like Mdm Ros had said. Recovering fast means a faster pace can be started at an earlier point of time.
Solution which I can think of are only like group studies. Remember how Mdm Ros and Ms Chua had grouped us for remedials? Don't you all think that helped a lot? We could request for such groupings on top of the banding, I think that each and every one of our teachers are more than willing to cooperate with this system of peer-tutorage and class-togetherness, giving us the material we need for each session and committing time above their busy schedule just to help us in our road to excellence. If the teacher would help us, why not we help ourselves? They can push us, but if we remain where we are, would their efforts be of service? Wouldn't we be letting them down? You reap what you sow, you sacrifice time, you maximise outputs. That's my belief.
I personally think that our class dip in this prelims is not anyone's fault in particular. We RISE as a class, we FALL as a class. Teachers are concerned not much to the extent of individuals, haven't we heard them saying "your class... 4/3's results... class's performance..."? Names are rarely mentioned.
People, we can do this. Let us try, should we fall, at least we have the honour of falling with dignity.
I'm proud that I'm in 4/3'05, I'm honoured to be with all of you.

Class Chalet
Hey peeps.
Since most prefer having a chalet at the end of the year, let's settle on the date first.
I heard that a few are leaving Singapore in December, so is everyone okay with November, from around 20th-30th?
But all this are of course subjected to chalet availability.
Anyway, I saw one quite affordable package.
November Holiday Weekday Special @ Costa Sands Resort (East Coast)
3D/2N stay @ S$138 nett @ Costa Sands Resort (East Coast)
Valid from 7 Nov to 30 Nov 2005
So, unless anyone has another suggestion, Hanisah or me or both of us will book for the package above.
And since the class fund has only around $100 left, I will need to collect some amount of money to get this organise. I hope this is not a problem with any of you yar.
Thanks. =D

Dear 4/3,
Thank you for your Teachers' Day card - four cards to be exact! When I received them from Mr. Choo this afternoon, I was a little worried - FOUR cards from ONE class? Any divide??? After looking through them, I think (I hope!) it is due to the limited space in each card... Anyway, I hope you enjoyed your celebration (Wed) and your school holiday (Thu).
I was at work on Teachers' Day cos there is no such holiday in the university but it is okay - when you enjoy what you are doing, everyday is a holiday :) With less than three months to go, I hope that the class will work closely together. Help each other go through this period so that EVERYONE performs well at the O levels. Make this another memorable period of your school life!
Best Wishes!

MQ, need your help to forward this to the class. Tks.

Project Superstar
WEI LIAN WEI LIAN!!
YEAH!! CHAMPION!!
Well, Kelly did a wonderful job too... That last song is super nice... Both are winners already...
They do well in their own aspects of singing, they'll excel respectively too, so I think both will do equally well in the future.
But WEI LIAN is the superstar!!
